Sustainability and
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

Sustainability is at the core of modern glass bottle manufacturing, where environmental responsibility goes hand in hand with engineering excellence. A key tool that enables this approach is Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)—a systematic method used to evaluate the environmental impact of a product across its entire life cycle.
Life Cycle Assessment
What is LCA?
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a structured approach to measure and analyze the potential environmental impacts associated with a product—from raw material extraction to production, usage, and end-of-life recycling. It helps manufacturers understand how each stage of the product lifecycle contributes to environmental factors such as energy consumption, emissions, and resource utilization. LCA Study for Container Glass in India An extensive LCA study was conducted in India to evaluate the environmental profile of container glass. Using site-specific data from the reference year 2016–17, the study reflects real manufacturing practices and technologies currently in use.
Commitment
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Guided by LCA findings, we are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance through:
  • Increased Use of Recycled Glass (Cullet):
Reducing raw material consumption and energy usage
  • Energy Efficiency Initiatives:
Adoption of advanced furnace technologies and waste heat recovery systems
  • Emission Reduction Measures:
Minimizing carbon footprint through optimized processes
  • Resource Conservation:
Efficient use of water and raw materials
  • Circular Economy Practices:
Promoting recycling and reuse of glass containers
